Our Spiritual Difference

centerstage

A new community space was created in 2016 with our latest Willows addition. This has shaped opportunity for fellowship and smaller, more intimate religious services.

A popular program led by our spiritual caregiver is "Theology on Tap," in which residents with Rev. Jacob gather for “cocktails and conversation” about theology!

Music, Camera, Lights! - The Theater is central to The Willows lifestyle with plays, dances and musicals. Our music therapist oversees the college music internships that bring enriching intergenerational experiences. It is common to see students and professors from local colleges perform for our residents. We invite you to come see how residents and staff weave music into spiritual cloth!

Passport To Travel

Passport to Travel is a first-of-its-kind travel program initiated by The Council for Health and Human Service Ministries (CHHSM). It allows residents at fourteen CHHSM-related senior living organizations to lodge free of charge at a sister community of their choice for up to two weeks.

“I nurture the residents’ bodies with food. All our staff know their unique part in holistically nurturing the body, mind and spirit. I love the ministry!”

Breaking Bread

Preparing for the Passover Seder Dinner is a special event not to be missed. Studying religions and foods from around the world brings new learning and appetite to the front and center! Our Director of Culinary Services, Phil Noe, finds ways to create the residents’ culinary desires. Hosting cooking classes and anniversary and birthday celebrations for the residents are other ways that food brings fellowship.
